Rachel Renae has been singing and performing locally for the past five years as a singer/songwriter. She started off her singing career working with world famous producer, Ray Ruffin while he was recording at American Recording Studio back in 2005. He helped in the success of Debbie Boone’s hit song “You light up my life,” and also worked with her father Pat Boone before passing away that very same year. He was Rachel Renae’s mentor and taught her to never give up! Her successful music career still continued. In 2009, she took home the Modesto Area Music Award (MAMA) for “Best Unplugged,” and also took home the 209 Music Award for “Best Band” that very same year. Most recently, Rachel has been nominated for a prestigious Los Angeles Music Award (LAMA) in the category “Best Female Singer/Songwriter of the Year.” Past nominees are many and include: Alien Ant Farm, 1999 recipient; Black Eyed Peas, 1999 & 2000 nominee; Korn, 1993 nominee; and No Doubt, 1992 nominee. The ceremony was a Red Carpet event held at Paramount Studios in November of 2010. Her music is also in a new Independent film, yet to be released, called “Livin’ by the Gun.” It is in the process of being submitted to the Sundance Festival. Rachel Renae plans to continue to follow her dreams as a singer/songwriter and plans to move to L.A. to continue her music career. She encourages others to continue to follow their dreams and hopes to inspire them as well!
